Army Gray Afghan

I haven’t had much to post on the craft front for the last couple of months because I have been working primarily on a wedding afghan for my brother and his fiance.  I found the pattern on Ravelry and decided to make it out of a soft gray yarn (Caron Simply Soft … now my favorite for cable projects!).  It is constructed of three main panels, with two thin end panels to square up the ends.  Although it took a long time to make, the intricacy of the patten made it a lot of fun.  I am so happy with how it turned out!  I’ve already started another one with my own pattern design :-).  Here are a few pictures taken at the cabin where we stayed for the wedding.  I finished it about 2 days before they got married – just in time!
