6 Month Recap

Well, so much for monthly blog updates! I had good intentions of posting pictures and milestone updates every month, but here we are at 6 months and I haven’t done a single one. Oops!

Better late than never, I guess. Here is the highlight reel from our first months together, along with David’s requisite monthly size comparison photos.

Month 1

  • Falling more in love with our sweet little boy
  • Very tough – lots of crying and not much sleeping
  • Blizzard or negative temperatures every time we had to leave the house

Month 2

  • Still lots of crying and not much sleeping
  • We spent many hours every evening bouncing David on an exercise ball
  • Swing was the only place he would sleep without being held
  • First smiles and social interactions were very gratifying!

Month 3

  • Breakthrough! I finally had time to read a baby sleep book and realized that David was not getting enough sleep. Started putting him to sleep sooner instead of so much bouncing, and he was a totally different baby!
  • Giggling hilariously, especially at Daddy
