My Quilt

I’ve been working on an exciting project for several months now, and I wanted to wait to post pictures until it was all finished.  I finally sewed the last stitch this week and got to hang up the quilt on the wall in our bedroom tonight!  After having it in pieces for so long, it was really exciting to see it all finished and on display.  Jon has been so patient with all of my sewing supplies taking over our living room and dining room table every weekend :-).

This type of quilt is called a bargello, and it gets it’s cool wave effect from varying the width of colored squares in each column.  It was actually a lot easier to put together than it looks!  I have to say, quilting may be in the running for my new favorite craft … I had so much fun making this and can’t wait to start another one!
