Football
Melissa and I attended our first football game of the season! Notre Dame v. Pitt. Thank you to Grace for getting us the tickets!
Many groups hold fundraising concession stands all over campus during home games. A good thing, too! As many people as come to annual Princeton Reunions travel to Notre Dame’s campus for every home game! We got steak sandwiches for lunch from the Knights of Columbus:

I was very excited to be having steak for lunch:

Of course, while Melissa ate hers without incident and nicely and neatly, I made a mess:

We ate lunch by Bond Hall, where the marching band gave a pre-game concert. After that we made our way to the Stadium. We had great seats, almost at field level, and right behind the endzone:

And right behind the professional photogs:

During the playing of the Star Spangled Banner, four Air Force jets flew overhead:

Our Leprechaun danced and then ran our flag onto the field:

The marching bands looked sharp, and the Irish Guards looked very…Irish Guard-ish:

The Irish were winning when we left (to beat the traffic). Fortunately they still won 23-17, even without our inspiring presence.
