6 Month Recap
Well, so much for monthly blog updates! I had good intentions of posting pictures and milestone updates every month, but here we are at 6 months and I haven’t done a single one. Oops!
Better late than never, I guess. Here is the highlight reel from our first months together, along with David’s requisite monthly size comparison photos.
Month 1
- Falling more in love with our sweet little boy
- Very tough – lots of crying and not much sleeping
- Blizzard or negative temperatures every time we had to leave the house

Month 2
- Still lots of crying and not much sleeping
- We spent many hours every evening bouncing David on an exercise ball
- Swing was the only place he would sleep without being held
- First smiles and social interactions were very gratifying!

Month 3
- Breakthrough! I finally had time to read a baby sleep book and realized that David was not getting enough sleep. Started putting him to sleep sooner instead of so much bouncing, and he was a totally different baby!
- Giggling hilariously, especially at Daddy

Month 4
- Started sleeping through the night!
- Rolling over back to front
- Figuring out his hands and enjoying toys more

Month 5
- Finally sleeping by himself in the crib
- First plane ride to visit family in Florida

Month 6
- Sitting up unassisted
- Pushing up to hands and knees
- Started solid foods – so far he likes almost everything we give him!
