Zoo, and other adventures
During our time in Florida we enjoyed a memorable day at the Jacksonville Zoo and Museum of Science and History with my sister, Caroline. Here are some pictures from that trip…
Our favorite part of the day was the Lorikeet exhibit, where we got to hand-feed the birds. They especially liked Caroline! (I think it was the Princeton sweatshirt…)

It was warm and sunny that day, so we got some fun pictures with sunglasses.
The giraffes were a lot of fun too…
And, of course, a trip to Florida would not be complete without seeing some alligators!
Jon found one that let him ride on its back:
In the afternoon we moved to the Museum of Science and History, which has changed a lot since the last time I was there. Dinosaurs were the main exhibit…
I befriended an apatasaurus…
…Jon found a pack of Deinonychus eating some saurian…
…while Caroline tamed a T-Rex:
We also took a trip to the Jacksonville Landing, which overlooks the beautiful St. John’s River.
And yes, we are eating ice cream in front of a Christmas tree ;-).
Two thumbs up for a great day! 🙂
Jon also got to go shooting with my Dad and brother while we were in Jacksonville. A pretty impressive target for his second time at the range… 😉
