Catching Up … Again

Here we go again… so much has changed since I last blogged that I don’t know where to start! Just for the sake of catching up, here are the highlights from the last year and a half.

• Jon took the Bar Exam for Illinois last summer and passed!
• We moved to Chicago last October
• Jon started a new job as a prosecutor with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office
• I started training as a doula and began working with a volunteer organization in the city
• We got a cat named D’Artagnan
• My brother was diagnosed with lymphoma, and I made several trips to Florida during his treatment (he is officially in remission now!)
• We found out we’re having a BABY!
• We had numerous visits with friends and family over the summer
• We went on our first real vacation, a camping trip to Mammoth Cave National Park, KY
• We celebrated another great Thanksgiving in our home with friends
• Now we’re waiting for the baby to arrive!

Thanks for your patience with the long blog silence. With the baby due in less than 3 weeks now, I really want to get the blog back up and running so that I have a place to post all my adorable pictures. Stay tuned for more baby-related posts soon!
